News & Updates for All Born (In) 2012

NWDSA is excited to share that Madeliene Will, Director of policy center for NDSS and long standing and powerful advocate, is going to be a keynote presenter at our All Born (In) Conference April 28th. She has led efforts to establish services nationally for infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families. She has promoted the concept of inclusive general education classrooms for students with disabilities and helped to create transition and supported employment programs.

In 2004, she was named the director of the policy center for National Down Syndrome Society. She was chairperson for the President’s Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities, 2002-2006.

Her experience, skills, and knowledge are extensive and include working in developing countries and on major policy level initiatives of great importance to the cross-disability community. We are looking forward to her keynote and sessions and the insight into systems change from a national perspective.
She is a mother of three children her son Jonathon experiences a full life with Down syndrome.

Notes from All Born (In) 2011

Thank you to everyone who attended the 2011 All Born (In) conference and helped make it our best year yet! With over 300 people in attendance, we had a great day of workshops and community building. We are grateful to all the many individuals and organizations who made the day come together, and for everyone who was able to dedicate a Saturday to inclusion. A special thanks to the presenters, volunteers and sponsors whose efforts were vital to the conference’s success. And congratulations to Janine from the Kindergarten Cohort for winning the iPad! We know you and your family will make great use of this tool.
